Stringers Tennis

⭐ 1 Star — Very Disappointing Experience I would NOT recommend Stringers Tennis in Raleigh after the way we were treated. Less than 60 days ago, we brought in a Babolat Pure Drive Team to be restrung here. The strings are already failing and popping out, so we brought the racket back expecting them to at least take a look at the problem and discuss how they could make it right. Instead, the person we dealt with immediately blamed us, claiming the problem was because we hadn't used head tape at the top of the racket around the grommets. What made the experience especially frustrating was his attitude. He spoke to my mom in an incredibly demeaning and condescending manner, as though she didn't understand how a tennis racket works. She's a 4.0 tennis player and is very familiar with her equipment. There was no reason whatsoever to talk down to her. Went there to replace the string on my 15‑year‑old racket and to get a new one for my wife, who had wrist issues with her old racket. Jim is so helpful. We had very good conversations. The next week we went back, we picked up our rackets and also grabbed some new tennis gear. They have a good selection. That’s gonna be my place to go.

We had the best experience with Mr. James. We also met his Tim, who was very helpful. He got our son set up with a new racquet and got him set up with new string and and overgrip.

Great, family-owned, tennis shop in the heart of Raleigh! I was in the market for a new racket and Jim was very helpful with recommendations - weight, head size, grip size etc. They also have a demo program where I was able to try out several different models before making my final decision. Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!

My sons and I participated in the tennis racket demo program over the holidays. Jim and his son were very knowledgeable and patient in helping all three of us select rackets. We highly recommend Stringers for all your tennis needs in the Triangle - grips, restringing, new rackets... Great service! We will definitely keep going there.
